January 1st, 2005 - Happy New Year everyone!  Here's the 2005 Outlook so far.

MMA Competition Overview

Note that Final dates and even competitors are still being established. I'll provide info as I get it.

• February 22 Jorge will be fighting in KOTC's nationally televised pay-per-view event.

• In April look for Jorge to be back in the FFC, for either a title shot or 8 man tournament.

Rich Franklin will have 2 UFC Fights this year. Right now it looks like Rich will fight Matt Lindland in April. We're hoping the winner of this fight will face the winner of the David Terrell vs. Evan Tanner fight for  the UFC Middleweight Championship Belt

Hook-n-Shoot Match- Held the same weekend as the Arnold Classic's in the convention center. The following Jorge Gurgel teammates are tentatively scheduled for this. Nick Olberding, Chris Wells, Dustin Hazelnut, Dan Swift, and Braden Workman.

Budweiser World Cup- Send your good luck to Clint Crabtree & Eric O'Brian (EO our Michigan teammates as they travel to NC Jan 15, to compete in the Budweiser World Cup.

New Affiliate Schools

Beavercreek, OH

Mike Patt our school manager and Brown belt teacher has opened a school in Beavercreek, OH. So if you live in Dayton and felt the drive to Middletown was just too far, here is a chance to become schooled in Jorge Gurgel Jiu-Jitsu much closer to home.
