Jorge's fight with Jason Ireland turned into a 3 round gladiator battle. Both fighters remained standing through the entire fight trading a series of punishing kicks and blows. Jorge's heavy hands and awesome stamina began to show in Rd. 2 as Jason began to to wear down and damage became apparent. Early in Rd. 3 Jason failed to get a takedown attempt, too exhausted to defend, Jorge secured a guillotine and ended the fight. Many have called this a hands down winner for fight of the year. Congrats to Jorge on this win & we look forward to a very exciting year.

Hook-n-Shoot--

The Hook-n-Shoot took place the night before the Arnolds in Columbus, Oh. The event was broadcast live to Japan. Team Jorge Gurgel had a successful night competing in the event. Dan Swift, Nick Oberding, Dustin Hazellet, Jamie Toney and Billy Rush all improved their MMA records with wins. Newcomer Kellyn Huehn gave the crowd a lot of action in her first ever MMA fight with a win. The brawl electrified the crowd and showed great heart.
