JG fighter Jon Meyer fought this past Friday January 23, 2009 at the Tropicana in Atlantic City as part of the Extreme Challenge fight show.  Jon, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt under Jorge Gurgel fought Craig Kaufman (6-3) at 185lbs Friday night.  Jon said both fighters exchanged submission attempts in a fight that went to the third round.  Both fighters fought for take downs and position on the ground as the two fighters fought off submission attempt after submission attempt from one another.  In the end Jon Meyer won with a knee bar in the third round to improve his record to 5-3.  You can view the fight at gofightlive.tv.  Congratulations Jon!
