On Friday 19JUN2009, Jorge Gurgel made his Strikeforce debut against a game Conor Heun.  Jorge and Conor had a very hard fought, exciting three round fight that Jorge won by unanimous decision.  With his excellent conditioning and superior stand up Jorge assaulted Conor with powerful leg kicks and a steady onslaught of punches to the head.  Jorge won each round and was never in any danger as he chose to keep the fight standing.  We are all very proud of Jorge and look forward to watching him climb the ranks of the Strikeforce lightweight division on his way to the belt.  If you are a JG member in West Chester, Jorge said he will be at the school this Monday evening 22JUN2009 around 6:00 pm so come out and congratulate him in person.
